Additionally, the backup and safeguarding of critical firm and client data was a significant concern.

A law firm client had a long-standing and long-term contract for traditional off-site technology services. This included access to hardware and temporary workspace, but actual system recovery would require days. The value of this solution, in the event of a disaster, had diminished as the firm’s business continuity goals changed and as the infrastructure at the firm evolved into a consolidated, virtual server with shared storage environment. Additionally, the client was looking for an alternative to their traditional tape data backup methodology.
